So I had an interview today (in all reality, it was yesterday) - So I had an interview yesterday at eleven. My grandma and grandpa had been to the apartment earlier, and grandma stayed with me because she didn't want to go to grandpa's appointment with him. In a three generations bonding trip, mom, grandma, and I all end up in the car together. They were driving me to the interview, yeah. I'm geeky, shut up.
So we're in the car. The new car that my mom has had seven days. Count them - seven days. So we're going up this street - for those that live in Jeff, the road between Lows and Barns & Noble, that little strip mall. So this big ass Jeep is in the left turn lane...we're going straight. It decides it doesn't want to turn left, but right. And that turn is exactly where we are at.
It basically plows us. If we had been going any faster, if mom hadn't swerved to the right to try and escape the blow, mom would have died. I probably would have too. And so would have FLea. THank god grandma was in the back. And, yes, this bitch HIT THE CAR MOM HAD SEVEN DAYS.
Horrible crunching noises ensue. Then the Jeep sits there like an ass, before backing up, scraping her big ass along our pretty Escort. From the way it sounded, we thought the whole front drivers side was fucking totaled. Police get called, we look at the car, it only looks like a few dints and some scratches.
Oh. And my late for my interview. (I went to the interview after we got done with the cops. Please let it have scored me brownie points.)
We're driving home after my interview...and it becomes apparent that they car is fucked on the inside. And by that I mean the body is shifted off the frame. The left headlight is bugged out, the right one is sunk in. We have to slam the doors to get them to shut. And the car vibrates funny.
First wreck I was ever involved in. You can imagine that I wasn't in the best of moods.
So grandpa gets back from the doctors to see us and pick up grandma. He had surgery about a week or so ago to take skin cancer out from under his left eye...the results on it came back, and it is malignas. (Which I can't spell.) Which means its like...active cancer. Cancer cancer. And they have to do more surgery on his face to get it out...hoping that it hasn't spred to far.
Bad day. Bad, bad day. But I'm going to make it better by going and eating something now. Mmm...food.
